Youth Legal Service provides free professional legal services to children and young people (under 25 years) residing in Western Australia. In addition to client services, Youth Legal Service plays an active role in raising awareness of the legal rights and responsibilities of children and young people. Youth Legal Service provides legal advice and casework in the following areas, subject to capacity:

• Criminal matters, including traffic offences
• Motor vehicle accidents (not personal injury)
• Contract law
• Criminal injuries compensation
• Violence and misconduct restraining orders
• Leaving home
• Spent convictions
• Appealing criminal convictions
