ALTONE YOUTH SERVICES (AYS) is a Youth Centre located in Altone Park, Beechboro. *Formally known as Stand By Me Youth Service*
Drop-in is open for young people aged 11 to 18 at the times listed in the Programs Section. Come in and play Pool, Xbox, PS3, Wii, listen to music, grab a feed, talk to a youth worker or just hang out! We also have online computers and a black light Cinema Room.
We offer informal counselling, practical support, advocacy, referal to additional services and case management to at risk Young People. We can provide information about a wide variety of issues relevant to young people’s lives.
Our aim is to provide a safe meeting place for young people, aged 11-25 years who reside, recreate or educate with the Lockridge/Beechboro and surround areas. We aim to provide young people with suitable educational and recreational activities that they otherwise would not have access to and that will provide them the opportunity to learn and develop a wide range of skills. We are open for drop-in sessions in the afternoons, during which time Young People are able to use our facilities and talk to the staff at the centre. We are also available for informal and formal counselling sessions with Young People and can refer those Young People to specialist services if the need arises can help young people that are experiencing a wide range of problems, including:

Based in East Perth, the Drug and Alcohol Youth Service (DAYS) is a free and confidential service which offers treatment and support to young people experiencing drug and alcohol related problems. The service offers community case management, withdrawal, and residential rehabilitation services for young people whose drug use is significantly impacting their lives. Treatment includes counselling, clinical psychology and parent and family counselling. The Salvation Army Bridge Program operates a sobering up centre and detoxification service in the inner-city.
The detoxification service provides a one week residential stay and operates to a supportive care model based on non-medical or low-medical interventions. Complex withdrawal cases, or those with severe symptoms are referred to medical services. Located in Gosnells, referral to the service needs to occur via admission to Bridge House in Highgate.
Both services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to drug and alcohol users aged 18 years and older. The sobering up service also accepts 15-18 year olds.

The City of Armadale contracts Hope Community Services to visit a variety of places in the City of Armadale with their street van and provide youth outreach weekly to youths aged 12 to 25 years old.
You’ll find the Hope team and their van in a variety of public spaces across the City from Cross Park skatepark, Roleystone, Jull St Mall in Armadale to local parks, the train station and other.
The street van, and its fantastic team, brings music, games, and fun to the streets, and is also there to offer connection, assistance and a safe place to chat for young people aged eight to 24 years who are vulnerable,disadvantaged and/or marginalised through providing information, informal counselling, referrals and connection to the great range of community organisations or activities in the local area.
